Founded From Experience
Luxona was founded by Jim Caldwell after more than three decades working across construction trades, business ownership, project leadership, and multi-state commercial construction and facilities operations — including a corporate role overseeing buildouts across 160+ locations.
Jim began working in construction at 16 and gained hands-on experience across electrical, HVAC, roofing, low-voltage systems, smart-home technology, light commercial construction, and residential building.
As his career progressed from the field into ownership and construction leadership, one difference between commercial and residential construction became increasingly clear:
Commercial owners rarely enter major projects without professional processes and experienced representation. Homeowners routinely do.
That experience showed Jim how commercial owners use defined scopes, structured bidding, documentation, budget review, and professional representation. Luxona adapts those disciplines for residential projects without adding unnecessary commercial complexity.

Why Independence Matters
Advice is most valuable when the person providing it has nothing to gain from the answer. Luxona does not perform construction or carry construction margin, so we do not earn more because you choose the higher bid, add more work, or spend more.
That structure changes what kind of advice you get. A recommendation to add scope, choose a different contractor, or revisit a decision carries no hidden incentive — it reflects what the situation actually calls for.

Luxona is an independent residential construction advisory firm. Homeowners contract directly with the contractors they select; Luxona provides defined owner-side advisory and representation.
Contractors remain responsible for construction execution, supervision, permitting, code compliance, safety, and their work. That separation is intentional.
